After much anticipation, Aria Code—the Met’s acclaimed podcast collaboration with WQXR and WNYC studios—returns for a fourth season, guiding listeners through highlights from the Met’s 2023–2024 lineup, pairing beloved classics with investigations into modern masterpieces. Hosted once again by Grammy Award–winning musician, MacArthur “Genius” Fellow, and Pulitzer Prize–winning composer Rhiannon Giddens, Season Four features eight episodes, starting October 4 with an exploration of “This journey” from Jake Heggie’s Dead Man Walking, with commentary from the composer, mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato, and Sister Helen Prejean, whose memoir inspired the opera.
