A Song Cycle for mezzo-soprano and string quartet (piano reduction available), with texts by Gene Scheer based on the life and work of the French sculptor. Commissioned by San Francisco Performances and generously underwritten by Linda & Stuart Nelson. First Performance: Feb 4, 2012 at Herbst Theater, San Francisco, with mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato and the Alexander String Quartet. Orchestrated for Sasha Cooke and the Berkeley Symphony, debut scheduled for Feb 26, 2015.
